Chemical industry in the region of Uzice has facilities for producing a wide range of following products:
- Medicines and dietary products,
- Parts and constructions made of polyester compounds, thermoplastics, duraplastics and polyurethane used in the traffic, processing industry, civil engineering, agriculture, water resources management, sport and recreation,
- Polypropylene packaging for all kinds of products,
- Adhesives for utilisation in all industrial branches and consumer goods,
- Aluminium sulphate (used in production of sugar, paper, oil industry, raw water treatment and waste water treatment),
- Polypropylene strips, accessories and operating supplies used in packing,
- Paints, lacquers and other agents for protection of wood, metal, stone and facades,

Habit Pharm, Ivanjica – A pharmaceutical company with the majority of foreign capital (82% Switzerland). The company runs, besides the factory for medicines production, medicines wholesale, too and it has also established the Health institution of pharmacies called "Habit Apoteke" with a pharmacy chain. The production programme includes dietary products ("Strong" vitamins and dietary supplements).
Zlatarplast, Nova Varoš – The main activity of this company is processing polyethylene having high and low density, polypropylene, polyamide, polycarbonate, polyurethane and other plastic materials. The processing is performed by injecting and blowing technologies as well as by the multilayer co-extrusion technology.
All the activities done by Zlatarplast can be classified in three areas:
-Production and processing of packaging by injecting technology (plastic carriers for all types of drinks, packaging for agricultural industry, food industry, chemical industry, toy production, parts used in automotive industry and stadium seats;
-Production and processing of plastic packaging by blowing (packaging for consumer goods and packaging for chemical industry);
-Production and processing of plastic packaging by co-extrusion blowing (packaging used for packing pesticides, milk packaging has been developed and the packaging for ketchup is in the process of developing).
Poliester, Priboj – The biggest producer of polyester compounds. The range of products includes:
- Automobile parts: dashboards, bumpers, mud-guards lining, parts and lining for interior items, accumulator boxes, masks, instrument holders for cars, lorries, buses, agricultural and civil engineering machinery;
- Special superstructures: for cold storage units, freight vehicles and other superstructures for storage and transport of perishable goods;
- pipes and tanks for transport and storage of fluids as well as the goods in form of powders and grains;
- Products for civil engineering covering items, interior and exterior linings, floor coverings, linings for swimming pools and channels, electric switchboards;
- anti-hail rockets.
AD Elan, Prijepolje – The biggest producer of adhesives in the country. The range of products of this company is used in many industrial branches:
- footwear industry: adhesives for leather, soles, etc.;
- wood-processing industry: furniture, building joinery, interiors, wall-papers;
- shipbuilding;
- electric power industry, transformers, cooling devices;
- automotive industry;
- food and beverage industry.
The company has the quality certificate for Standard ISO 9000(ISO 9001, ISO 9002, ISO 9003 and ISO 9004).
ATM, Sevojno – The company has 36 machines for injection of rating quantity from 30 to 1200 tons. It has complete equipment for tool production as well as a modern design office.
ERA Pack, Čajetina - The production programme of the company includes producing polypropylene strips, accessories and operating supplies used for packing, which is the main part of production programme. By machining, extruding and injecting plastics which are additional programmes, the polypropylene strips of ERA Pack company are made of polypropylene having high rupture strength and good tensile strength. The impact of ultraviolet rays has been reduced by adding a certain number of antioxidants and UV-stabilizers (the time of fracture brittle is reduced) which makes ERA PP-strips very reliable in packing. Besides PP-strips for packing, ERA company also produces metal couplings, basket coils, plastic angles as accessories and operating supplies used for packing.
Irkom d.o.o., Kosjerić – A private company established in 1991. the main activity of the company is production of paints, lacquers and other chemical agents for protection of wood, metal, stone and facades. 38 products presented in 225 items are available to customers both for consumer goods and specialized industrial utilization. Numerous awards for the quality of their products that were won at internationally recognized fairs indicate that these products take an equal place with world famous brands in this field. Since the beginning of 2004 “Irkom” company has started production in the new significantly larger facilities in Kosjeric.
